Leadership & Life Coaching became a big market during, and post, the (covid) pandemic. As certifications were available for a fee, many with / without real life experiences got busy in getting themselves certified.
Thus, we see mushrooming of template-based academic style coaching that are content with creating clones instead of allowing the coachee to unfold their innate potential.
How to understand template-based coaching?
If we ask a child or grownup adult just one question, we can understand what template-based coaching is. 'A' stands for? In unison you would hear the reply, Apple.
How to outgrow template-based approach?
The coachee should be led to various options other than apple. Then empowering them to choose as empowerment liberates the coachee.
Other than the standard qualifications, it helps, if the Coach has a connect with living traditions.
It is also important that the Coach has a track record of implementing whatever they espouse i.e., the proof of the concept.
In Krishna's case he has experience of being a Coach, Mentor, Teacher and thus prefers to call himself a Catalyst.
